Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Just a few things to remember before you go to eat:

  • Water is a great weight loss aid and appetite reducer.  Before you start eating, drink something (water, tea or soda if you must)
  • Put more protein and veggies on your plate, then some mashed potatoes and other stuff. Some carbs are good but take it easy on the sweet potatoes coated in sugar an marshmallows. (remeber about serving sizes)
  • On to desert…again, use moderation.  Those pies an cakes will probably look good but you don’t have to have a huge slice or piece of everything.  When I have a table of desert in front of me, I will pick out a few things I want and then have just a small piece of each.  Notice I said a few things and not everything.
  • One last thing. Eat slowly! Don’t shove it in.  It

Whatever You Do, Don’t Exercise!

You can’t turn left, right, go forward, backwards, or even just stand still these days without someone telling you that you have to exercise.

Whatever happens, DON’T do it!

People talk about the many benefits of exercise, and indeed, the list seems very long, and it seems to touch pretty much every aspect of our lives. Let’s examine this:

• Increases Energy: I can’t imagine why anyone would want to increase their energy level. As if the world isn’t already too full of caffeinated coffee and energy drink junkies, now we’re being told to try to get MORE energy from exercise.
